Prayer & Fasting Day 15

Read John 15.

It is Monday of the final week. You are on the home stretch, and you have got this! In our reading today, Jesus too is on the home stretch.

Chapter 15 really is a continuation from the previous chapter where Philip asked Jesus “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus knew the need of his disciples to understand God’s love. The relationship His followers can have with Him dives deep into the fact that true love comes from the God who IS love. We must understand this and apply it to our lives.

As Jesus knew he faced the cross and all that it entailed, his disciples faced impossible persecution in the days ahead. Jesus teaches us that our love for God overcomes the fear of the world (Matthew 10:28). Pray today that you would love Jesus more than you ever have before.
