Prayer & Fasting Day 10

Read John 10.

After you read through John 10, turn in your Bible to the Old Testament and find Ezekiel 34. Jesus said, “I am the door” (v.9), and “I am the good shepherd.” (v.10). After you read Ezekiel 34:11-16 write out everything God says He will do as the Good Shepherd in this passage.

Turn back to John 10 and again write out everything He says He will do as the Good Shepherd. Spend the next few minutes asking the Holy Spirit to show you where you trust Him as the Good Shepherd, where He is leading you as the Good Shepherd, where He is providing for you as the Good Shepherd, and where He is giving you life as the Good Shepherd.

John 10 ends with, “And many believed in him there” (v.42). Take some time today and pray through names of people you know who have yet to believe in him. Pray they will experience Jesus as “the good shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep” (v. 11) and find eternal life in him.
