Prayer & Fasting Day 1

Read John 1.

John tells us Jesus “was in the beginning with God, and everything was made through Him, and in Him is where life is found. If we find Him, we find life, and His life will be our light.” If only we will believe in Him, and if we do, we will become His children.

What a blessing to be one of His children. He loves His children and cares for His children as all loving parents would care for their children, and even more so because He is God. Think deeply on this first day of prayer and fasting on the beauty of being His child and praise Him thankfully throughout the day for His loving care for you. Also, pray for those you know who are not yet His child to believe.

How can you be more like John the Baptist and tell others that Jesus is “the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” If you are not His child, what keeps you from believing in Him today? Don’t let another day pass living outside His loving care.
